Terms and Conditions
Last updated 29 Oct 2026 (version 2026-10-29.2)
These are the terms for using Rhys Automates. They're written in plain English. By ticking “I agree” when you start your free trial, you accept them.
1. Who we are
Rhys Automates is run by Rhys Maidment, a sole trader in Queensland, Australia (ABN 56 939 150 743). “We”, “us” and “our” means Rhys Maidment. “You” means the business that signs up. Contact: [email protected].
2. What the service is
Rhys Automates gives car body, scratch and dent repairers:
- an online quote page where your customers send photos of their damage;
- a suggested price for each job, based on your own price guide;
- a dashboard to check, change and send quotes, and to book jobs in;
- text (SMS) and email messages to your customers about their quote and booking;
- a simple website for your business, included while you're subscribed (see section 6).
We keep improving the service, so features may change over time.
3. Free trial and price
- You get a 7-day free trial.
- We take your card details when you start the trial. Nothing is charged during the trial.
- On day 8 we charge your first $75 a week (inc. GST). After that, we charge $75 every week until you cancel.
- There's no setup fee and no lock-in contract.
- If you cancel before day 8, you pay nothing.
- We send a tax invoice for each payment. If a payment fails, we may pause the service until it's paid.
4. Cancelling
- You can cancel anytime from your dashboard (“Put it all back”), or by emailing [email protected].
- Cancel before day 8 and you pay nothing. Your trial stops straight away and your card is never charged.
- From day 8, cancelling stops all future charges. Your subscription ends at the end of the week you've already paid for, and you won't be charged again.
- If you use “Put it all back”, your quote page goes offline straight away, because that's what you asked for. You still won't be charged again.
- We don't give refunds for part weeks, except where the Australian Consumer Law requires it.
5. Fair use
The weekly price covers normal use for one repair business: about 150 quote requests and 1,000 text messages a month. If you regularly go well over this, we'll contact you first to talk about options. We won't cut you off without warning. Please don't use the service to send spam or unlawful messages, or try to break or overload it.
6. Your free website and domain
- The website we build for you is included while you're subscribed.
- When your subscription ends, we take the website offline. If you ask within 30 days, we'll send you a copy of your text and photos.
- If you register a domain name (like yourbusiness.com.au), it's registered in your business's name and you pay for it directly. It stays yours when you cancel, and you can point it anywhere you like.
7. Your quotes and your work
- The suggested prices are a guide only. You approve every price before it's sent, unless you turn on “Quote automatically” in your settings. If you turn it on, quotes go out at the prices your settings produce.
- You are responsible for the quotes you send, the prices you agree with your customers, and the repair work you do. Your customer's contract for the repair is with you, not with us.
- Please check the photos and details yourself. If a job looks different in person, it's up to you to re-quote it.
8. Customer data and privacy
Your customers' details (names, mobiles, photos and messages) belong to you. We store and use them only to run the service for you, and we don't sell them. You can export them from your dashboard anytime. You're responsible for having a fair reason to contact your customers. Our Privacy policy explains how we handle personal information.
9. Text messages and STOP
Every text we send for you says who it's from. Anyone can reply STOP to stop receiving texts, and we'll honour it straight away for your business. Please don't ask us to text people who haven't contacted you or agreed to hear from you.
10. Our liability
We work hard to keep the service running and accurate, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you've paid us. We're not liable for lost profits or for indirect loss.
Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that can't be excluded.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll give you at least 14 days' notice by email before a change takes effect. If you don't agree with a change, you can cancel before it takes effect.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and the courts of Queensland have jurisdiction.
